Won by germplasm
The germplasm
developed by the Directorate received 14 prizes in different categories in
various Livestock & Poultry Shows held in 1998, 1999. The prizes won by
Vanaraja, the dual purpose bird for free range farming, are particularly highly
satisfying. It won the Best bird of the Show award in the national level
livestock and poultry show 1998.
Prestigious Award for Hindi Implementation:
PD on Poultry bags First Prize for Hindi Implementation activities. Regional Hindi Implementation Office, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India, Bangalore honored this Directorate for best Hindi Implementation in Central Govt. Offices of the Southeren India. The award is given by the honorable Minister for the state for the Home Affairs, Govt. of India, Dr.Shakeel Ahmed, during a two days conference on South & South-West Regional Official Language Implementation Conference held at Cordite Factory, Aruvankadu, Nilgiri, on 15th-16th October,2008. The Award was received by the respected Project Director Dr.R.P.Sharma.
