Facilities
The Directorate is equipped with the following laboratories and farm facilities to undertake research work as per the given mandate.
Laboratories
  • Population Genetics Lab
  • Semen Biology Lab
  • Nutrition lab - Quality control of feed
  • Disease diagnosis and health lab
  • DNA Processing Lab and
  • Genetic marker and DNA typing lab
Farm
  • The sheds can acommodate 10,000 birds in individual cages and 10,000 chicks in brooder and grower houses at any point of time.
  • Battery cage facilities to conduct nutrition and health experiments
  • A Feed Processing Unit to compound   around 45-50 MT of feed per month

  • Hatchery with a capacity of 27,000 eggs in setter and 18,000 eggs in hatcher
  • A post-mortem room and an incinerator
