Input distribution programme at Gudur village under SC Sub Plan

ICAR-Directorate of Poultry Research, Hyderabad organized awareness programme about “Backyard poultry farming” and distributed inputs to SC beneficiaries to start backyard poultry farming at Gudur Village, Renga Reddy district, Telangana under SC subplan on 09-09-2019. A total of 30 farmers were benefitted. These beneficiaries had already undergone training on “Backyard Poultry Rearing” at ICAR-DPR. The team of scientists from ICAR-DPR, Drs U.Rajkumar, R.K.Mahapatra, S.P.Yadav, A.Kannan, B.Prakash, T.R.Kannaki and Chandan Paswan and Technical officers Dr.S.K.Bhanja and D. Pratap participated in the programme. Scientists and Officer of this Directorate interacted with the beneficiaries and the potential benefits of backyard farming with Vanaraja were explained to the farmers. A total of 30 SC beneficiaries were provided with 17-18 Vanaraja birds (6 weeks of age), 2-3 Vanashree birds, 20kg feed, one feeder, one waterer per each beneficiary. A total of 535 Vanaraja birds, 65  Vanashree birds, 600kg feed, 30 feeders, 30 waterers and medicine kits were distributed. The programme was coordinated by the SC Sub Plan team of the Directorate.
