Input Distribution under DAPSC Programme on 23-11-2020

ICAR-DPR organized inputs distribution programme to SC families under DAPSC programme 

An input distribution programme to start backyard poultry farming to improve livelihoods and nutritional security of SC families was organised at Kottapalle mandal, old Adilabad district under DAPSC programme on 23-11-2020. A total of 720 Ghagus grown up birds, chick feed, feeders, drinkers and medicine and vitamins were distributed to 48 SC beneficiaries during the programme.  For proper safe guarding of birds during night from predatory attacks and cold climate, 98 night shelters were also distributed.  Scientific practices to rear birds under backyard farming system were explained to the beneficiaries. Entire programme was conducted as per the latest guidelines regarding COVID-19 control. Feedbacks from the farmers who got the birds during earlier program were collected.  Dr A Kannan, Principal Scientist, Dr.M.Shanmugham, Senior  Scientist and Dr.Vijaykumar, Scientist, from ICAR-DPR coordinated the programme. Dr.Pavan Kumar, Veterinary Officer, Kottapalle and local panchayat members were also participated in the programme.
