Dr. U. Rajkumar obtained his doctoral degree in Molecular genetics from CDFD in collaboration with SVVU, Hyderabad. His research areas are Molecular characterization of chicken and marker-trait associate studies with growth and Improvement of rural poultry germplasm for backyard poultry.

Dr. Ramakrishna Mahapatra, Ph.D., Principal Scientist (Physiology)
Dr. Mahapatra obtained his doctoral degree in Animal Physiology from National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal. His research area is semen bioilogy in poultry.

Dr. D. Suchitra Sena, Ph.D., Principal Scientist (Veterinary Medicine)
Dr. D. Suchitra Sena obtained her Ph.D. degree in Veterinary Medicine from IVRI, Izatnagar. She got gold medal in M.V.Sc. for obtaining highest OGPA. She received Smt. Ava Roy Gold Medal for outstanding contribution to profession of Veterinary Medicine. She received Best Women Scientist Award, received four best oral presentation and one best poster presentation awards. She formulated 3 phytogenic products and evaluated herbal formulations as alternatives to AGP’s in broilers. Her research interests include involvement in avian herbal medicine, poultry gut metagenomics, and survey on AMR in food production animals. Her clinical interests include avian health management and herbal medicine.

Dr. Santosh Haunshi, M.V.S.C., Ph.D., Principal Scientist (Genetics & Breeding)
Dr. Santosh Haunshi obtained his Ph.D. in Poultry science from Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Izatnagar. His research interests include avian immunogenetics and molecular genetics. He won two best poster presentation awards (IPSACON-2003 and 2007) and received Professor P.K. Pani research award (2004) in the field of poultry genetics and breeding besides receiving best poster award as a co author in IPSACON (2008).
