ICAR-DPR organized online training programme on Poultry and Duck Farming to farmers

ICAR-Directorate of Poultry Research (DPR), Rajendranagar, Hyderabad and ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute (ATARI), Kolkata jointly organized 5 day training programme on Advance Training on Poultry and Duck Farming from 14 to 18 September, 2021 using online platform. About 70 participants participated in training through Zoom, about 150 trainees participated in the programme through live webcast    organized by KVKs and about 50 participants viewed on Facebook live of DPR link. These participants belong to West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand and Adman & Nicobar Island. Most of the participants are keeping poultry and having experience of 6 months to 10 years. Out of total registered, 73% participants are male and 27% female participants representing all sections and religions of the society.  Dr R N Chatterjee, Director, ICAR-DPR and Dr S K Roy, Director, ATARI, Kolkata jointly inaugurated the training programme and highlighted the importance of poultry in Eastern region of the country.  All the participants expressed their satisfaction over the training program.
