Training program on “Backyard Poultry Management” was conducted at ICAR-DPR

 

A five days training program titled “Backyard Poultry Management” was organized by the ICAR- Directorate of Poultry Research in collaboration with MANAGE, Hyderabad from 19th  to 23rd February 2019. In this training program 14 veterinary officers from animal husbandry departments of Manipur, Kerala, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar, and Telangana states have participated. The training programme was aimed at the updating of knowledge and recent developments in the backyard poultry production system and its management. The participants were exposed to various aspects of poultry breeding, nutrition, management, health, farm and hatchery operations with special reference to backyard poultry production. Director, ICAR-DPR and representative from MANAGE have interacted with participants during inaugural and closing ceremonies and received the feedback from the trainees.
