“Poultry Waste Management Unit" facility created at ICAR-DPR, Hyderabad

Director, ICAR-DPR inaugurated the "Poultry Waste Management Unit" facility on 14^th June, 2019 in presence of all the staff members of the institute. This facility was created for sustainable management of poultry waste through composting. Concept of Poultry Waste Management Unit was initiated with an aim to overcome the major issues in waste management such as accumulation of large amount of wastes, especially manure and litter, causing major environmental problem. Expected outcome is to produce environmentally safe, sustainable and economical technology for sustainable management of poultry waste for the production of compost.
